Namukwaya Phiona (Head of Handcrafts) A dedicated and creative artisan, Phiona holds a Diploma in Education Institutional Planning and Management and brings with her a strong passion for community empowerment through hands-on, practical skills.
Phiona leads the design, production, and training efforts within our handcrafts program, an initiative aimed at creating inclusive economic opportunities for women, youth, and persons with disabilities. With her expertise in both traditional and contemporary crafts, she combines artistic excellence with a keen understanding of what makes products market-ready.
Phiona’s leadership helps preserve cultural heritage while promoting sustainable livelihoods through skill development and entrepreneurship. She believes in the power of creativity to transform lives and is committed to using handcrafts as a tool for social change, self-reliance, and economic empowerment.
Kihembo Sarah (Field Officer) holds a Bachelor’s degree in Science and Technology from the Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU) and has also undertaken specialized training in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning with African Agility Girls in Tech.Her unique blend of digital expertise makes her an asset to our team, especially as we explore innovative ways to integrate technology into sustainable community development.
